Conversations with a Republican 45

Republican: My car insurance went up $200.  I'm going to call them. 

Me: Insurance rates are pretty much set in stone. You can adjust your deductables and alter your coverage to change the prices. 

Republican: I know. But I'm going to call them. 

Sits on hold for a while. Talks to rep. Complains he's been a customer for a really long time.

Call is over. 

Me: Can't you just email them to ask why the rates went up?

Republican: I guess, but I'm still going to call them. 

Calls again. Complains his rates are too high. Call is ended. 

Me: Why call them? You can change providers to lower your rates. 

Republican: I know, but I'm going to call them.

Me: Why?

Republican: Because my rates went up!
