 If there were a God who loved us, we would be able to eat anything we want and never get fat.

Me: That's what the Nazi's said.

Republican: I don't like Trump, but I like his policies. 

Me: You like tariffs?

Republican: I think they'll help in the long run. 

Me; Everything costs more.

Republican: The price of eggs is lower than when Biden was president.

Me: Eggs are domestic. Tariffs have nothing to do with the price of eggs. 

Proof No One Really Believes in Heaven

 I can prove that no one really believes in heaven. 

It's simple. 

Heaven is supposedly a paradise where we are reunited with our lost loved ones.

Sounds wonderful! Sign me up!

So why if there is this paradise awaiting us is everyone hanging on to every last second of life on the dismal mortal coil?

Why do humans spend billions of dollars in the pursuit of prolonging life, if heaven is what comes next?

People will line up around the block and wait in line for hours on end for the chance at a free cup of coffee, but no one wants to get in line to enter heaven? Ok. 

Why do people in their 70's and 80's have bypass surgeries that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep themselves alive?

Why do people with cancer suffer through chemotherapy and worse?

Why do people jump at any opportunity to prolong their life even for a few months more?

Because the truth is, they know, when they die, that's it. It's over. 

If anyone really believed in heaven, they'd be lined up in droves to find a way inside. 

People wait on line for up to 24 hours to get tickets to something as mundane as  a concert. But not a single person is on line to get into heaven? Ok. 

Now you can say, that god wants us to fight and hang on to life. But if god gives you heart disease or cancer is he not calling you home? He's dusting off the welcome mat and flagging you into the doors of paradise. 

So why are you resisting it? Paradise awaits you!

Because, deep down inside you know that it isn't real.
