Observations from an Atheist 1

African Americans seem to believe in Jesus and Christianity more prevalently and more resolutely than any other group I've encountered.

This strikes me as strange.

They believe in a kind and just God. Yet this God let their ancestors be enslaved, raped, hanged, burned alive, beaten to death mercilessly.

Their God lets them continue to be oppressed, marginalized and murdered unjustly.

Even if we stipulate that their God is real (He's not), He's not one I would ever choose to worship.
